I'm a research associate at the colab, exploring mobile technology, leading a guest lecture series in the field of mobile, and finding funds to extend and develop curriculum for university classes. I also blog here too.
CUNYcolab is a joint project of the Film and Media Department and the Integrated Media Arts MFA Program at Hunter College with cooperating support from the Performance and Interactive Media Arts MFA Program at Brooklyn College.
The CUNYcolab Center (CCC) builds the necessary skills for the 21st century workplace with a physical center for innovation in media communications and an online community of faculty, students and media professionals.
In the last six years, the problem of the 'digital divide' has shifted from limited computer access to widespread computer users that consume rather than create, limited by a lack of programming skills and without a genuine understanding of technology.
