A network of blogs designed for a college writing class. The blogs are used to post student essays, homework, and thoughts about life in college. In addition, the professor leads class debates designed to encompass a class period on the home site. In the debates, students read a newspaper article posted by the professor and then post their comments below. These blog debates are quite lively and usually extend beyond the class period. eDiscissions, was designed for the students in the Higher Education Opportunities Program at NYU and LIU. The site uses Wordpress, the open source blogging software. Class discussions are posted in a password protected online community. The project went live on Novermber 9th 2006
