A project to provide live streaming interactions between students and museums. The camera enters a living history program and the actor talks to the students like they just arrived to New York and the date is 1916.

On March 28th, the Museum piloted a distance learning program with 12 students from J47M, a school for the deaf located on 23rd Street.
The students, using the internet facilities at their local
library, participated in an on-line visit and chat with Victoria Confino. Students were able to type the questions they wanted to ask and Victoria’s responses were translated for the students by the school’s ASL interpreter.
This distance learning pilot was made possible by the museums Education Associate for Access, Maria Velez, Lethia Nall, who played Victoria, and the Konscious Distance Learning Crew, Jeffrey Galusha, Shawn Van Every, Emily Conrad, Hugh Gran, and Mo Santram.
